Overview
LinkedIn Remixer ("the Extension") is a Chrome extension that helps you rewrite LinkedIn posts in your own voice using AI. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about what data we collect and how we use it.
Key commitment: We never sell your data. We never share your personal information with third parties for marketing. Your content is only used to generate remixed posts for you.
Data We Collect
Account Information
Email address and name (when you create an account)
Hashed password (stored securely; we never see your plain-text password)
Voice Profile
Professional details you provide: name, role, industry, location, target audience, topics, tone preferences, and optional voice samples
This is used solely to personalize your remixed posts
Usage Data
Number of posts generated per month (for plan limit tracking)
Generation history: the original post text you remix and the AI-generated output
Basic device fingerprint (a hash of non-identifying browser properties) for abuse prevention only
What We Do NOT Collect
We do not access your LinkedIn login credentials
We do not read your LinkedIn messages, connections, or private data
We do not track your browsing history outside of LinkedIn
We do not collect financial or payment information through the extension
How We Use Your Data
Post generation: Your voice profile and the post text you select are sent to our secure server, which calls an AI model to generate a remixed post. The original and generated text are stored in your history so you can access them later.
Plan management: We track how many posts you generate each month to enforce plan limits.
Abuse prevention: Device fingerprints (a non-reversible hash) help us prevent one person from creating excessive accounts.
Product improvement: Aggregated, anonymized usage statistics (e.g., total generations, error rates) help us improve the service. We never review individual post content for this purpose.
Data Storage and Security
All data is stored on Supabase (hosted on AWS infrastructure) with encryption at rest and in transit
API keys for AI providers are stored server-side only and never exposed to the extension or your browser
Authentication uses industry-standard JWT tokens with automatic expiry and refresh
Row-Level Security (RLS) ensures each user can only access their own data
All network communication uses HTTPS/TLS encryption
Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services to operate the Extension:
AI Model Providers — Your post text and voice profile are sent to AI providers (e.g., DeepSeek, Kimi/Moonshot) to generate remixed content. These providers process the text but do not store it beyond the generation request. No personal account information is shared with AI providers.
Your account data and voice profile are retained as long as your account is active
Generation history is retained for your reference and can be exported as CSV
If you delete your account, all associated data will be permanently removed within 30 days
You can request data deletion at any time by contacting us
Your Rights
You have the right to:
Access your data (view your profile and history in the extension)
Export your data (use the CSV export feature in the History tab)
Correct your data (edit your voice profile at any time)
Delete your data (contact us to remove your account and all associated data)
Children's Privacy
The Extension is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Extension after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
